Spend the Night at the Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves marine life and awe-inspiring experiences. As one of the largest aquariums in the world, it houses thousands of animals from across the globe, including a majestic whale shark, playful dolphins, and graceful manta rays. Visitors can walk through massive underwater tunnels, enjoy interactive exhibits, and even dive with some of the ocean’s most incredible creatures. Beyond its stunning displays, the Georgia Aquarium is dedicated to ocean conservation and education, offering a chance to learn about the importance of protecting marine ecosystems. It’s a perfect mix of wonder, adventure, and discovery for visitors of all ages.

Trip Leader - Dr. Hackmann

Dr. Hackmann is the Oceanography teacher at Jefferson Forest High School. His desire is to open up a new world to his students, and others living in central Virginia. He understands the importance of marine science and education in ocean conservation. Both parents and students are invited to join him on this journey under the sea. Hopefully you will even be able to watch him dive with the the gentle giant.
