3 NIGHTS HOTEL, 2 DAYS DIVING AND 1 DAY OF HUNTING FOR TREASURE!
The region is home to over 2,000 shipwrecks, spanning centuries of maritime history. These wrecks serve as artificial reefs, attracting diverse marine species, including sand tiger sharks, sea turtles, rays, and large schools of fish. Despite its ominous name, the waters are surprisingly clear (50-100 feet viz in summer) and warm thanks to the Gulf stream, making for excellent diving conditions.

This time we have a fun little addition. Discovery Diving's 46th Annual Treasure Hunt will take place on Saturday, October 11th, 2025. They drop painted oyster shells of the beach at Radio Island, divers and snorkelers pick up two shells each and then come back to the dive shop for a prize drawing and bbq lunch! Everyone's a winner and prizes range from dive trips and gear to local gifts. Proceeds from this event go to Diver's Alert Network and Mile of Hope Children's Cancer Event.
Diving the Graveyard of the Atlantic is like exploring a living museum beneath the sea. This stretch of North Carolina’s coast is home to hundreds of historic shipwrecks, from centuries-old schooners to World War II vessels, each teeming with marine life. Clear waters and dramatic wreck structures create an unforgettable experience for divers, offering both a glimpse into maritime history and thrilling encounters with sharks, rays, and schools of vibrant fish. It’s a dive destination that combines adventure, history, and natural beauty all in one.
