Scuba diving in the graveyard of the Atlantic offers an unparalleled underwater adventure for history buffs, wreck divers, and marine life enthusiasts. Check it out. 👍😎🐬
The region is home to over 2,000 shipwrecks, spanning centuries of maritime history. These wrecks provide the foundation for thriving ecosystems, attracting diverse marine species, including sand tiger sharks, sea turtles, rays, and large schools of fish. The 'Graveyard of the Atlantic' may sound ominous, but the waters are surprisingly clear (50-100 feet viz in summer) and very warm thanks to the Gulf stream that flows over these wrecks, making for excellent diving conditions.
You could book dives on a few charter boats in the Beaufort/Morehead area, but there are many advantages to diving with us: Your trip leader (Marilou Maglione) is a PADI Instructor with 45 years of diving experience, and 32 years on these special wrecks. We make your trip easy by arranging all of the bookings, managing weather changes and shifting itineraries as a group (which minimizes the changes you'll get blown out or not be refunded), provides fruit and snacks on board, arranges group meals at great local restaurants and provides assistance and support.
In addition, should you be interested in expanding your diving skills & education, we offer many specialty class options. Its a fabulous place to learn!
We also feature unique specialty certifications in partnership with well known scientists, researchers and partners at the NC aquarium. Please look through each NC trip for it's special offering.
During the 3 day weekend, you'll enjoy your stay at the quaint Beaufort Harbour Suites, right behind the dive shop. You'll have a kitchenette, making it easy to make your morning coffee/tea and pack your lunch for each diving day.
If paying with credit card there will be service fee at check out, to avoid this you may pay directly with a bank account.
