Maldives

Maldives is a premier diving destination, renowned for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and diverse marine life, making it a must-visit for diving enthusiasts of all levels. Consisting of 26 atolls and over 1,000 coral islands, Maldives offers a unique underwater paradise with warm water ranging from 80°F (26°C) to 86°F (30°C), and excellent visibility, often reaching up to 200 feet. March & April are considered to have the best diving conditions of the year due to the northeast monsoon that brings calm waters and abundant marine life.

Fuvahmulah

Fuvahmulah, also known as Maldives’ shark island, is ranked as one of the best shark diving destinations in the world. The island’s unique underwater topography has a submerged reef extending deep towards the ocean floor. As a result, this makes the island and its surrounding waters home to a rare combination of pelagic life.

Fuvahmulah is a haven for oceanic megafauna like threshers, oceanic mantas and whale sharks. Additionally, divers may come upon gigantic schools of fish that are less commonly seen elsewhere in the country. The island, however, is most famous for its resident tiger sharks and divers are able to observe them every day, throughout the year.

Maldives Aggressor II

The Maldives Aggressor II is a 135 ft yacht built and powered for comfort, safety and stability. She is diesel powered and cruises at 12 knots, has a spacious salon, beautiful sundeck, chaise lounges, deck chairs, bar, and grill.

The suite stateroom is located on the main deck with panoramic windows. All staterooms have a private bathroom with shower, closet, porthole, hairdryers and individual AC climate controls.  Exemplary service is provided by a crew of 16.

All meals, snacks and beverages are provided, including a selection of beer and wine after the diving day is done.  The menu onboard is varied and plentiful, with a variety of American feasts, barbecues and local cuisine. You will awaken to fresh fruits, hot entrees, cereals and juices. Lunches feature hot soups, homemade breads, salads and sandwiches and/or entrees. Dinners are chef prepared and served each evening and include salads, vegetables, seafood, beef or chicken with a fresh homemade dessert. Once onboard, please speak to the chef about any special needs. Certain special dietary and beverage requests may not be available due to the remote nature of this location.

Day 7-12 Diving! image

Diving around Maldives' Central Atolls

Over the course of 6 days dive up to 18 times off the dedicated diving dhoni. After our return arrival into port in Male, an optional tour of Male with dinner in included.

A typical itinerary includes dives at:

Male Atoll manta cleaning stations with abundant reef life including sharks, turtles, and colorful fish.

South Male Atoll generally has more current that brings in reef sharks, eagle rays, and large schools of fish, including tuna.

Vaavu Atoll - Miyaru Kandu - One of the channel dives that you don’t want to miss. With strong incoming current the list of possible encounters is impressive. Mainly grey reef sharks but also whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays, napoleons and tunas are quite common and with the visibility reaching 120 feet during the northeast monsoon it can be the highlight of the trip. Also, Alimatha House Reef - This is considered one of the best night dives in the Maldives. Every night there is a show performed by a big number of nurse sharks, stingrays and massive jacks.

South Ari Atoll - Moofushi Kandu (Manta Point) - Drift dive with a chance to see manta rays hovering over the cleaning stations at a depth of around 40-75 feet. If mantas are spotted it is recommended to use current hooks and stay around the cleaning station for a longer time.

North Ari Atoll - Maaya Thila - The thila (a pinnacle) is about 240 ft wide in diameter and is considered one of the best night dives in the Maldives. Top reef at 15 feet makes it easy to access even with current. The upcurrent side is always very active and busy with fusiliers and snappers. Big jack fish, whitetip reef sharks, stingrays and moray eels can be spotted easily. Some overhangs around the thila provide shelter for turtles.

Rashdoo Atoll - Channel dive between Rasdhoo island and Madivaru offers a spectacular ridge facing the ocean to observe grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays and large dogtooth tunas.
